QNHS SHS takes on Saliksik 2025

The Saliksik 2025 research conference at Pili National High School last March 24, 2025 served as a platform for students to present their studies and contribute to academic discussions.

Among the outstanding research presentations was "Transgender Transcends Transformation: Perception of Transgender Pageantry as a Tool for Empowerment and Inclusivity," which explored the role of transgender pageantry in promoting self-expression, empowerment, and social acceptance. Through a well-structured and visually engaging poster, the study effectively conveyed its findings to a diverse audience.

The research study was awarded 2nd Best Poster in the HUMSS Strand, recognizing both the quality of the research and the effectiveness of its presentation. The panel of judges commended the clarity, organization, and relevance of the study, emphasizing its contribution to discussions on gender inclusivity. 

More than the layout itself, the poster highlighted how transgender pageantry serves as a platform for individuals to assert their identity and challenge societal norms, making it a significant topic in the broader conversation on equality and representation.

Throughout the event, the study received positive feedback from students, educators, and other attendees. Many expressed appreciation for the research's insightful approach to an often-overlooked topic, acknowledging its role in promoting awareness and understanding. Engaging discussions with viewers further demonstrated the importance of the study in encouraging open dialogue about gender identity and inclusivity.

Receiving the 2nd Best Poster Award in the HUMSS Strand reflects the study’s impact and relevance in contemporary society. This recognition serves as an encouragement to continue exploring social issues that foster meaningful discussions and positive change.
